Roman Poretski

Roman began his journey in film making already in high school, majoring in cinematography. After graduating, he joined military service as a photojournalist in the IDF magazine

After using the craft of photography on a daily basis for three years in the military, Roman was accepted to the Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem. As part of his studies, he took courses in Modern Arts, Philosophy, Painting, Script Writing and, of course, Cinematography. While studying, he had been shooting short fiction films, as well TV shows like Survivor and People for commercial TV.

At the end of his studies, Roman began shooting commercials specializing in digital and social platforms. Among the brands he is working with, you can find Tnuva, Microsoft, Bank HaPoalim, Nespresso, Golan Wineries and many fashion, life-style and high tech firms

Roman lives and breathes the world of advertisement. He believes it is a great medium to tell a great story in a couple of seconds and to affect thousands of viewers. He draws inspiration on a weekly basis from watching commercials from all over the world

Roman prefers to be involved in a project early on and be in a continuous dialogue with the director to provide him or her tools that could serve the storytelling in the best way, such as shot list, compositions, color, movement, transitions, special effects, and many more.
